It's 2020, Sippers!

Holly cow it is January 2020! How did that happen? Wasn’t it just 2000 a moment ago? Twenty years… we have changed.  (I have more gray hair…)

I’m looking forward to 2020 we have such goodness coming down the road….

Firstly, I am thrilled to share that we will have a lot of new and exciting additions to the school this year - from teachers, to series, to industry visitors!

You'll see some new and familiar faces teaching classes, as well as new certification courses. We've added many new classes and series, including two food and wine series that are sure surprise us all. Mike and I will continue our collaborations with the Osher program at Pitt and the adult learning program in Fox Chapel. We will be back in March to sip unusual varieties at the Cabaret Theater. Then, in October, we'll be joining our dear friend and travel companion Marco from NicheItaly yet again - this time for an amazing excursion to Sicily! If that isn’t enough, we will have a slew of guest wine folks coming through to give us deeper insight to their properties and wines.

Dreadnought Wines will see more Portuguese wines, a new Champagne selection and a more regular selection of off beat whiskey offerings as our portfolio continues to grow.

Soiree Partners, our logistics company, will see expansion by helping other folks move their restaurant orders throughout the state. We are always looking for new caterers and event planners to work with for retails expansion also. Having a party and need wine, beer and liquor delivered? Call us… because that is what we do!!

Lauren, the friendly voice who answers the phone here and person that you see when coming into the store, will have a renewed focus on promoting gifts of all kinds.  Lauren has spent her first year here learning the ins and outs of what we do and the insane amount of paperwork involved. Now she gets to use her skills and degree in marketing to let all of you know the great offerings we have for year round personal and corporate gift giving. Look for some smashing new ideas!!

Last but not least we have wine dinners coming.  We are working on the details, so stay tuned……

Keep warm throughout this month ,and the rest of winter, and remember the days are getting longer :)

Cheers to an amazing year,
