Itinerary
Day 1 - June 6 : Arrive in Olbia
Arrive at Olbia airport and transfer to the beautiful in Gallura. This area is about one hour north from the airport and
facing the beautiful Maddalena Islands. Once arrived we will check in at the hotel and you can enjoy the beautiful nature
and tranquility and relax in their Mediterranean parks or by the beach, an ideal place to start our journey after your long trip. In the evening, we will have our welcome dinner on one of the panoramic terraces of the Hotel.
Day 2 - June 7: Island of La Maddalena
Today we will explore the beautiful coast of Sardinia.
This morning we will board a beautiful motorboat and go to the Island of La Maddalena Archipelago. We will spend the
morning hanging out, drinking wine, and jumping into the blue water. Around 1PM we will be back to the hotel and have
a buffet lunch and then you can enjoy the resort, including the spa treatment and the private beach. Later in the afternoon we will enjoy one of the best sunsets drinking an Aperol Spritz at the beach. We will go then
directly for dinner and a great Gallurese experience at the Agriturismo Li Nardoni, where we can eat the typical
Gallurese Soup. After dinner we will come back to the Hotel.
Day 3 - June 8: Wine tasting
We check out and our minibus will take us south. After about 30 minutes we will stop in a beautiful winery. This is
located in Arzachena, not far from Porto Cervo, and it’s considered one of the best wineries in the Mediterranean Sea.
Their Vermentino di Gallura has won many prizes. Their chef is also great and he will prepare for us a special Sunday
lunch paired with their wines. After lunch we will proceed south and in about 1 hour and 30 minutes we will arrive at
Hotel Su Gologone. This is one of the most interesting hotels we have in Italy, a mix of local art, charm, nature, great
food and traditions. It is close to the mountains, the beautiful beaches of Cala Gonone and inside the Dorgali wine area.
All the rooms are furnished by local artisans and have an old Spanish style due to the most recent main domination on
this area. In the evening we will have a traditional dinner around the fireplace, eating a lot of authentic local products,
including their homemade pasta and sweets.

Day 4 - June 9: Boat tour
This morning we will enjoy the fantastic Sardinian breakfast, all home made, and then go to the beaches of Cala Gonone. With a nice boat we will have a beautiful ride along the coast and make few stops in what Travel Conde Nast rated the best beach in the world for 5 times, Cala Goloritze.
After we come back from the boat ride we will have lunch at the restaurant right on the harbor called Al Gabbiano in CalaGonone.
After lunch we could stop in Dorgali, a small village that became famous thanks to the Cannonau wine. We will visit a real old goldsmith and learn how to make the local jewels. We will then go back to the Hotel. You can enjoy the beautiful hotel facilities, like the pool and the SPA, also admire and attend a local pottery class, organized by Cera Sarda, or simply do some of the beautiful nature trails. Dinner will be at the hotel, an incredible vegetarian experience at their vegetarian garden.
Day 5 - June 10: Tiscali
After a fantastic typical breakfast, we will go and explore the archeological area of Tiscali. You will see the real Nuraghe,theNeolitic villages, and also the Paleolitic Tombs. Along the road we will stop at the Carsic Water Spring of Su Gologoneand at the Ispinigoli Caves, some of the biggest caves in the entire world. We will come back then to the Hotel for a lightlunch. Later in the afternoon, we will go and visit an old friend of Marco’s, Ottavio Floris. We will visit his country homewhere he produces a fantastic Cannonau Wine Riserva and we will do a cooking class with his 90-year-old mother,Signora Pina. We will prepare the malloreddus, Sardinian Gnocchi, and the suckling pig. We will have also many greens coming from his garden and the honey from his bees, good to be spread on top of the goat cheese his brother produces. This will be an experience you will remember!
Day 6 - June 11: On the west coast
Today we will have a nice excursion to a couple of villages, heritage of the Spanish and Aragonese dominations. The first one will be Bosa, on the west coast and about 1 hour and 15 minutes away. We will visit all the Catalan neighborhoods, The beautiful churches, the picturesque colored houses of the historic center. The lunch will be at the restaurant in the town where we can taste the famous Lobster Catalan Style, with fresh tomatoes, onion, celery, capers, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, black pepper. After lunch we will drive back towards the hotel and have a stop at Orgosolo, famous old village visited because of the open-air art exhibit of Murales. Later in the afternoon we will come back to the Hotel. You will have your free night and you might like order from the incredible choice on the list of the traditional restaurant at the hotel.
Day 7 - June 12: South toward Cagliari
We check out of the Hotel and drive south towards Cagliari. We will make a stop in Creddu, about 30 minutes away. Thelunch will be an experience. We choose the fish and they will cook it for us! The fried calamari are unreal!! After thissucculent stop, we will proceed south and after another hour we will arrive in the Capital of Sardinia. This is an oldRoman foundation town that was then built in layers from the following dominations. The Hotel will bein a beautifullandscaping, dinner will be organized in their fine restaurant.

Day 8 - June 13: South-west coast of Sardinia
Today we will visit the beautiful south-west coast of Sardinia. About an hour away from Cagliari we will arrive in Oristano,and visit a family-owned winery . They are famous for their small quality production of Vermentino, Cannonau and uniquelocal grapes like Monica. After the visit we will have lunch at their friend's restaurant . After lunch we will visit the beautifulPensisula del Sinis and the ruins. We will also have a chance to visit Cabras, the salt lake famous for the production ofMullet Bttarga. Later in the afternoon we will be back in Cagliari. For dinner we will have an experience at the typicalseafood restaurant in front of the Cagliari Harbor.
Day 9 - June 14: Spice market of San Benedetto
In the morning we will visit the Roman amphitheater and go to the food and spice market of San Benedetto. We will have areal Cagliari Street food experience inside the Cherchi box gourmet, tasting very upscale local specialties. In the afternoon,you can have time to stroll around the beautiful historic center to shop and explore the little artisanal stores. The eveningwill be followed with an amazing dinner.
Day 10 - June 15: Departure
Buon Viaggio! Return to the US or stay longer in Italy.
