Did you know there are over 10,000 kinds of wine grapes growing throughout the world?

Sometimes it's easy to fall into a rut and stick to what you already know, but if you're up for a challenge while expanding your mind and palate, The Grape Race is for you! In this class series, we'll be trying as many grapes as possible from that list of 10,000, and we'll give you a handy grape variety check list to chronicle your progress. We've also got some fun milestones to help keep you motivated with incentives once you reach 100, 200, or even 300 grapes!

About the Grape Race

How It Works

To get started, drop by the school to pick up a grape variety check list or download the list below -- it's got a standard list of common white and red grapes, as well as some blank spaces for your deeper cuts. Tick the boxes for all of the grapes you've had, then be sure to bring it with you for any upcoming The Grape Race classes. Trying new grapes between sessions? Go ahead and log them!

Once you hit one of the milestones -- 100, 200, or 300 grapes -- show us your sheet so we can welcome you to our Gold, Platinum, or Diamond clubs and give you a token of our appreciation.

For Bacchus Bunch Members

This probably all sounds familiar to those of you who had started down this path during our Bacchus Bunch. Fear not -- your hard work there will be honored here! You can keep recording using your existing list of varieties, and the same milestones will apply here.
